Apache Junction is home to many tourism destinations popular for Snowbirds. The Goldfield Ghost town is one of the most popular. When visiting the ghost town, one can experience an authentic western town, with a goldmine that you can tour. Sitting in the ghost town is a humble saloon home to a gentleman named Cowboy Dan Knozl. Another popular destination is the Lost Dutchman Museum, which is home to the Apache land barn with a myriad of Western Memorabilia. The Golden Sun trailer park is a temporary home to many snowbirds. Sitting in the heart of Apache Junction, this 55+ community is waiting for the winter visitors to bring the park back to life.
